Reggie commits atrocities anew

Reggie continues to pee on the carpet. The sad truth, he's always peed in a couple of places down stairs, even though the litter boxes are kept five feet away and they are the automatic kind so they are always clean. But, as I've said, he's starting to pee on the carpet in front of the book cases, and I've now got my lower bookshelves covered in tin foil, for fear he may end up ruining more of my books and TPBs. This is clearly a behavioral thing. I've already got one cat on Prozac, and don't really want to medicate Reggie. We've had him checked for urinary infections, and he's okay. So I don't know what to do. Putting him outside on a permenent basis is not really and option, and getting rid of him would destroy me.

Any ideas on how to stop him from peeing on the carpet?

I'm worried Reggie is a ticking time bomb

Unfortunately, it's probably just a matter of time before he pees on my bookcase again, and hits something crucial.

I can't stay mad at this sweet little angel face!!

No matter how many times he pees on my bookcase.

I no longer love Reggie, and I don't want to talk about it.

RIP Kurt Vonnegut

Probably my favorite living American novelist died yesterday. He was 84, so he was not exactly young. I've read all his novels, probably 5 or 6 times in the case of the ones I really loved. Like Galapagos, Slapstick, Bluebeard, Deadeye Dick, Jailbird and Breakfast of Champions.

I'll probably break one out and read 'em again. I prefered his later stuff, that was more playful in tone, then his earlier, more "serious" stuff, though I don't think there's a single novel he wrote I hated.

Rolling Stone did a nice piece on Vonnegut last year. He hated Bush, as of course all reasonable people do.

I saw him speak once, in the early 90s, at UC Davis.

Ah, Kurt Vonnegut. Dead.

Good news/bad news

I'll leave it to you to decide which news is which:

On Sale Yesterday: Marvel Zombies/Army of Darkness #2

Also... it looks like poor old Rufus is coming down with a fresh case of cat acne. Now, I've blogged about it before, and –as I told you, cat acne is real, but it seemed like it was under control, and Rufus clearly has two big zits growing on her chin. They are not quite ready to pop, and, unlike Bumble Buzz, Rufus HATES it when I try to mess with her chin.

So, anyway, I will keep you posted, as events warrent.

And, hopefully, this will not be as gross as the thing a couple years ago on Bumble Buzz's tail.
